Ornate Interiors Bought To Book!

Pudsey-based specialist plastering firm Ornate Interiors has recently been ‘booked’ for one of its biggest projects to date at Liverpool Library.

The 22-year-old firm will be carrying out traditional lime plastering and the restoration of decorative plaster mouldings on behalf of main contractors Shepherd Construction and sub contractor William Anelay Ltd at a venue that is currently undergoing a £50 million refurbishment.

Liverpool Library forms an integral part of the World Heritage site on William Brown Street in the city with the building dating back to 1860.

Ornate Interiors Managing Director Ronnie Clifford explained: “This represents a big contract win for Ornate Interiors and we will be busy at Liverpool Library until July 2012.

“It’s a clear sign that the construction heritage market is picking up and we’re honoured to be selected to work on such a prestigious building,” added Ronnie.

Ornate Interiors Ltd carries out traditional lime plastering and manufactures and installs highly decorative fibrous plaster mouldings principally for stately homes, listed buildings, hotels, churches, homes and theatres across the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe and recently picked up the leading industry award, the Humber Silver Salver, for its work on a new Metro station in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

The company also works on behalf of municipal bodies, architects, contractors and surveyors in compiling restoration surveys of buildings that require repairs and is also currently recruiting for a range of plastering courses to be run over the next year.
