Anelay Finishes It Off At Castle Howard
York-based building conservation and restoration specialists William Anelay Ltd in conjunction with architects Wiles & Maguire have completed works at Castle Howard, North Yorkshire.
The project was carried out in two phases over an 18 month period. The complete works involved repairs to wall foundations and fabric, replacements of damaged masonry, extensive re-pointing and the rebuilding of four stray wall towers.
William Anelay’s Managing Director Vernon Carter commented: “We are pleased to have been involved in the restoration and conservation of the Estate boundaries. Castle Howard is such a well loved local landmark and deserved to have its stray walls conserved with care.”
